Kinderfeets is a family business. Its owners are energetic and creative Dutch migrants living in the USA. Its name is derived from the Dutch words for "children" and "bicycle". Kinderfeets are wooden balance bikes designed to ease a child's transition to riding a pedal-powered bicycle. Kinderfeets don't just look stunning, they're also ergonomically designed to provide the perfect transition experience.
Children as young as 12 months can start with the entry-level Tiny Tot. This beautiful trike starts in a three-wheel format then transforms into a two-wheel balance bike using a conversion kit that comes in the box. With three wheels they can learn to use their feet to get moving. Then, when parents feels their child is ready, it takes just minutes to convert a Tiny Tot from a trike to a two-wheel balance bike.
Please note: The recommended age for this product is 12-24 months. However a child's size, fine motor skills and balance coordination should also be taken in consideration. Some children may take a little longer to develop these skills than others; or be of above average height.
Kinderfeets also offers a range of superior, ergonomically designed bikes for children two years and older. Choose from classic chalkboard finished colours that children can decorate with chalk (included in the box); or stylish retro designs that make a fun, colourful statement.
These durable, European styled wooden balance bikes provide a safe, confidence-building transition from a child's first ride-on to pedal-powered bicycles. The adjustable features and ergonomic design of Kinderfeets bikes extend their active life as children grow.
Kinderfeets has worked hard to earn its Toy Man® Eco-Recognition Seal. Kinderboards use sustainably sourced FSC certified timber. Its bikes use sustainable birch wood from a replenishable source. Its airless tires are completely biodegradable. It uses minimal packaging material made from recycled paper and water based-ink. Its chalkboard finish paint is water-based and the lacquer is non-toxic. And with Trees for the Future, Kinderfeets plants a tree for every bike it sells.
