A Kinderboard helps children develop a sense of balance, stimulate their vestibular system, and gain a deeper awareness of their body and body parts. They're derived in part from a similar concept used in Waldorf (Steiner) early childhood classrooms. This means they're excellent for stimulating child development - both physical and mental - and offers open-ended play opportunities for toddlers, children, teens, and even adults. You can use Kinderboards both indoors and out. They're perfect for playing at home or in an educational institution.

WHY BAMBOO?
Bamboo is stronger than steel and heartier than most hardwood, making it a versatile and valuable building material. Bamboo is also eco-friendly in many ways. It produces more oxygen and absorbs more carbon dioxide than trees. While hard wood takes 30-50 years to mature, bamboo takes between 3-5 years and requires no pesticides or chemicals to encourage the maturation process.

Crafted from skilfully engineered and sustainably sourced bamboo plywood that's finished with a protective lacquer stain. Made in an ethically run factory that Kinderfeets inspects and evaluates regularly. Tested and certified to European and Australian standards. Supports up to 220 kgs.

Kinderboards are made in accordance with established Steiner principles to maximum their sensory and exploratory potential. This includes a slightly textured surface rather than a slippery gloss finish, plus a felt-free base that allows it to be used hygienically outside the home or as a low-friction sliding ramp.

Care instructions: This is a wooden product protected by a lacquer veneer coating. Never store it in a location exposed to the elements or where condensation can build up overnight (such as a shed or balcony). Detailed care instructions ship with this product.
